The agent of Inter Milan midfielder Ivan Perisic has insisted that his client is "very happy" at his Italian club amid speculation surrounding his long-term future.
The Croatian, who joined Inter from Wolfsburg in the summer, has netted twice in nine league appearances for his new club this season.
It had been claimed that Perisic was unhappy with his position in Roberto Mancini's XI, but Tonci Martic has refuted suggestions that the midfielder is not prepared to defend.
"Ivan is very happy," Martic told FCInter1908. "He's very happy to get started with this new team and new project. The table is now looking good, and that hasn't happened in a long time, we hope they can have a good season.
"Ivan is very happy with the atmosphere and with life in Milan and Italy. Inter are great, he has a great relationship with his teammates. He's very happy, he has no problem with his role. He can defend and he can play in different positions, he likes to change roles often during the match.
"He can play on either flank, and if he has to come back and defend he can play full-back with no problem."
Inter are currently second in Serie A after 11 games of the new season.
