Russian club Anzhi Makhachkala have confirmed the signing of Samuel Eto'o from Inter Milan.

Anzhi have been in discussions with Inter for a number of weeks over the deal and have now struck an agreement.

"Today an agreement was reached between the football clubs, Anzhi and Inter, for the transfer of Samuel Eto'o," read a statement on the club's official website.

"The terms of the transfer are completely agreed on both sides."

Reports have suggested that Anzhi will pay the Italians £21.8m for the 30-year-old striker.

Anzhi have also recently completed the signing of Yuri Zhirkov from Chelsea.
