Inter Milan boss Antonio Conte has reportedly pinpointed Nemanja Matic as a player he wants the club to sign on a free transfer next summer.
The Serbia international, whose contract expires at the end of this season, was linked with a move away from Old Trafford over the summer.
Following a disappointing end to the 2018-19 campaign, Matic has lingered on the periphery under Ole Gunnar Solskjaer this season, with the midfielder not starting any of United's opening four Premier League fixtures.
According to Calcio Mercato, Conte has resolved to take advantage of Matic's situation at Old Trafford by moving for the midfielder next summer.
The Italian already knows Matic after working alongside him over the 2016-17 campaign, during which Chelsea strolled to the Premier League title.
Matic was forced to clarify his allegiance to Solskjaer earlier this month after he liked an Instagram post slamming the Norwegian for not starting the 32-year-old against Southampton.
