Inter Milan coach Andrea Stramaccioni has admitted that his side face a fight to retain the services of midfielder Fredy Guarin this summer.
Guarin has been a rare bright spot in a frustrating season at the San Siro, with Stramacciomi's squad ravaged by a prolonged injury crisis.
Stramaccioni has insisted that Gaurin is integral to his plans for Inter's future following his performance in this afternoon's goalless draw at Genoa.
He told Sky Italia: "Guarin is an extraordinary player who combines physicality with technique in an incredible way.
"He is also an important element in the locker room, so we can build a fine midfield around him. We are certainly clinging to him tight. We have clear ideas for the future and I have faith."
Inter have slipped to ninth in Serie A after a run of four matches without a win and face joining the Coppa Italia at the preliminary stage next season.
