Inter Milan president Massimo Moratti and manager Walter Mazzarri have both remained tight-lipped on the prospect of the club re-signing Samuel Eto'o this week.
The Cameroonian, who is a fans' favourite at the San Siro after helping them win the treble in 2010, has also been linked with a reunion with former manager Jose Mourinho at Chelsea.
Eto'o's current club Anzhi Makhachkala are thought to be keen on selling the 32-year-old due to their financial troubles, but Moratti and Mazzarri are both coy about signing the player.
"Eto'o? We'll see what happens next week," Moratti told Sky Sports News.
"Eto'o arrives? It's not my place to speak," added Mazzarri. "I'm happy to coach the team I have right now and we'll see what the market says."
Eto'o spent two years at Inter before leaving in 2011.
