Inter Milan president Massimo Moratti has revealed that playmaker Wesley Sneijder is "closer" to joining Galatasaray now than he was last week.
The duo held a meeting in a hotel in Milan on Sunday to discuss the Dutchman's future.
"We needed this meeting and it was pleasant," Moratti told Sky Sport Italia. "There is still a small chance that Sneijder could stay. Is he closer to Galatasaray now? I think so, yes."
Sneijder added that he loves Inter but has chosen to leave for Turkey this month.
"I have loved and do love this team," he said. "The Inter fans are the most important thing for me.
"I cannot talk about the negotiations right now, but I agree with the president's words."
Sneijder joined Inter from Real Madrid in the summer of 2009.
