Inter Milan coach Claudio Ranieri has denied reports that Wesley Sneijder's focus has been hampered by recent transfer speculation.
The Dutch international was heavily linked with a move to Manchester United during the summer, while rumours have begun to start regarding a January switch to Old Trafford.
Sneijder's performances this season have come in for criticism from a number of pundits but Ranieri has insisted that the stories over his future have nothing to do with it.
"I believe very little in the story of the player wanting to go away and being put on the transfer market," said the coach.
"These are maybe rumours, perhaps unchecked and untrue, and so I don't give them much consideration."
Sneijder joined Inter in 2009 from Spanish side Real Madrid.
