Ipswich Town and Middlesbrough have headed into half time level following a goalless first half at Portman Road in their Championship clash.
Brett Pitman had a chance to give Ipswich the lead inside the opening 10 minutes when he connected with a pass forward from Freddie Sears, but the striker's finish was straight at the keeper, leaving Dimitrios Konstantopoulos with an easy save.
Dean Gerken was also tested early on as David Nugent tried to find the opening goal for the visitors, but his scuffed finish was dealt with by the Ipswich stopper.
Ipswich continued to see plenty of the ball, resulting in Daryl Murphy crossing the ball in from the right for Pitman, but his first-time strike was tipped over by the Boro keeper.
Mick McCarthy's side were in again as a deflected cross fell to Luke Chambers, but the defender rushed his finish, slicing the ball straight into Konstantopoulos's hands, ensuring that the sides headed into the break on level terms.
