Ipswich Town winger Paul Anderson has said that his place in Mick McCarthy's starting lineup is far from secure.
The 25-year-old, who joined the Tractor Boys in a swap deal that saw Jay Emmanuel-Thomas head in the other direction to Bristol City, has started the last two matches, helping the club to a draw and a win against Birmingham City and Middlesbrough respectively.
"It's definitely important to have competition for places, especially in a league as demanding as the Championship," Anderson told the club's official website.
"We've only got a small squad but everybody in that squad I feel is good enough to have their name in the starting lineup.
"I had to be patient for my chance because Carlos has been fantastic here for the past few years and it was his shirt in the first place."
Anderson is likely to start for the Blues against Yeovil Town tonight.
