Ipswich Town manager Mick McCarthy has said that his side "deserved" their win against Bolton Wanderers on Saturday.
David McGoldrick's second-half penalty gave Ipswich all three points in their Championship clash.
McCarthy told reporters: "They (the players) put a shift in for me, for the club, and for each other, every single week.
"Bolton didn't give us any space in behind and it was a scrappy old game. I was glad to get the first half out the way so I could speak to them.
"What was nice is that I got a response. We've deserved to win I think in the end."
Next up for Ipswich is a trip to Barnsley.
