Ipswich Town manager Mick McCarthy has declared that his side need to be more "ruthless" following their 2-0 defeat to Wigan Athletic in the Championship.
The Tractor Boys boss called on his players to be more clinical in future after watching them squander numerous chances during the match.
"You've got to be ruthless and we weren't," Sky Sports News quotes McCarthy as saying. "There were good saves, good blocks but I think we should have scored."
"We let them off the hook with the chances we've missed and it sounds like a broken record. We've got be more clinical, ruthless - whatever you want to say - we had enough opportunities.
"We've got the points we have and we are where we are because we've not completed the task that we should have done."
The defeat sees Ipswich slide down to 14th place in the Championship.
