Sports Mole looks ahead to Saturday's Championship encounter between between in-form Ipswich and Rotherham at Portman Road.

In-form Ipswich Town will be looking to make it four wins on the trot when they host Rotherham United at Portman Road this Saturday.

The Tractor Boys have picked up maximum points in every game so far this month and are unbeaten in four since their defeat to Norwich in the East Anglia derby.

Arguably the most impressive of their recent results came in their last outing as they held off a late fightback to beat Wigan Athletic 2-1 at the DW Stadium.

The result was enough to see Mick McCarthy's side climb up to seventh in the Championship table, and another three points this weekend could lift them into the playoff places.

Connor Sammon got what proved to be the winning goal against the Latics, and that could be enough for him to join David McGoldrick and Daryl Murphy up front once again.

In stark contrast to Ipswich's fine form, Rotherham go into this weekend's match without a win in five games in all competitions.

The Millers made a decent start to the season and will be content with eight points from as many games considering they came up from League One last season, but Steve Evans will know that his side need to snap out of their current slump sooner rather than later.

Only Blackpool have scored fewer goals than his side this season, with Rotherham having only netted more than one in a game on a solitary occasion.

That, coupled with no clean sheets in their last five matches, is a recipe for disaster, and Evans needs his side to improve at both ends of the pitch if they are to avoid being sucked into the bottom three at this early stage of the campaign.

Summer signing Luciano Becchio could be instrumental in preventing such a fate, and the Argentine is expected to come into the side having opened his account for the club in the 1-1 draw with Charlton Athletic last time out.
