Gavin Massey scored a late winner as Colchester United came from behind to earn a 3-2 victory over Ipswich Town this evening.
George Moncur saw an effort parried by the keeper and Brett Pitman flicked a header over the bar, as both teams created early chances on goal.
However, it was Ipswich who took the lead at the end of the first half when Kevin Bru connected with a cross from Freddie Sears to fire past Elliot Parish.
The hosts made a strong start to the second half and they managed to draw level just before the hour mark when Alex Gilbey was played through on goal by Moncur, before slotting past the keeper.
It did not take long for Ipswich to regain their lead, as 11 minutes later David McGoldrick scored from the penalty spot following a handball inside the box.
However, Gilbey crashed in a low drive from the edge of the area to level once again for the hosts and in the final minute of stoppage time Massey bundled in from close range to seal the victory.
