Mick McCarthy has reportedly identified three of his former players at Wolverhampton Wanderers to bolster his Ipswich Town squad this summer.
It has been claimed that a number of the Wolves playing staff will be sold before the start of the new campaign following the club's relegation to League One.
That has alerted McCarthy, who is keen to take Karl Henry, Kevin Doyle and Stephen Ward to Portman Road, according to the East Anglian Daily Times.
However, the report went on to say that Henry could be tempted to stay at Wolves in the hope that he can lead them back to the Championship, while Irish duo Doyle and Ward are of interest to Celtic manager Neil Lennon.
McCarthy has also been linked with making moves for Brentford's Harry Forrester and Notts County's Alan Judge.
