Ipswich Town defender Aaron Cresswell is reportedly on the verge of joining Aston Villa.
The 22-year-old left-back only moved to Portman Road from Tranmere Rovers in July 2011.
Villa boss Paul Lambert, who added 23-year-old Matthew Lowton to his squad earlier this month, wants to sign more young English players and hopes to bring Cresswell to Villa Park within 24 hours, according to The Mirror.
It is rumoured that Cresswell, who made 44 Championship starts last season, will cost around £3.5m.
