Mario Balotelli has failed to earn a recall to the Italy squad after being left out by Antonio Conte for their upcoming Euro 2016 qualifiers against Azerbaijan and Norway.
The 25-year-old has been praised for his recent displays after joining AC Milan on loan from Liverpool, but he has been unable to force his way back into the national side.
However, Domenico Berardi could be in line to make his debut for the Azzurri, after being called up for the first time, while Sebastian Giovinco has returned to the squad.
There is also a place for Riccardo Montolivo, who has recently returned from a long injury layoff, while New York City FC midfielder Andrea Pirlo is set to add to his 116 international caps.
