Italy goalkeeper Gianluigi Buffon remains an injury doubt for Friday's World Cup encounter with Costa Rica.
The veteran shot-stopper was forced to sit out the Azzurri's opening win against England over the weekend because of an ankle problem.
"His condition will be evaluated. We will try to have him available as soon as possible," Italy's medical officer is quoted as saying by Sky Sports News.
Buffon has won 140 caps for the Italian national team since making his debut back in 1997.
