Paraguay have seen off the challenge of Jamaica in the Copa America thanks to a fluke Edgar Benitez goal.
Jamaica started off strongly and physically, with both Rudolph Austin and Wes Morgan receiving early yellow cards.
Roque Santa Cruz saw a chance easily saved before a Raul Bobadilla volley drifted just wide of the post.
When a non-threatening long ball missed everybody, goalkeeper Duwayne Kerr chose to head the ball away. Benitez blocked the header and the ball rolled into the empty net for a goal.
Paraguay chose to pass the ball around in the second half and starve Jamaica of possession, a tactic that worked well. Miguel Samudio then hit the bar after a one-two with Bobadilla.
The closest Jamaica came to a goal was when Antony Silva had to tip a deflected Jodi McAnuff cross around the post.
The result means that Paraguay are temporarily top of their group while Jamaica remain at the bottom.
