Aston Villa teenager Tim Iroegbunam has reportedly emerged as a potential transfer target for Juventus and Borussia Dortmund.

Since making the switch from West Bromwich Albion in May 2021, Iroegbunam has been regarded as one for the future by those behind the scenes at Villa.

The England Under-20 international was provided with three outings in the Premier League last season, featuring for a total of 91 minutes.

However, it is the 19-year-old's stint on loan at Queens Park Rangers which has led to further admirers of his ability ahead of his eventual return to the West Midlands.

Iroegbunam has made 15 starts and three substitute outings for the London outfit in the Championship, establishing himself as a regular under each of Michael Beale and his replacement Neil Critchley.

Despite there being potential for new Villa boss Unai Emery wishing to recall Iroegbunam in January, it appears more likely that he will continue his stint at Loftus Road for the remainder of 2022-23.

According to TEAMtalk, Iroegbunam is now attracting the attention of Juventus and Dortmund.

Villa remain in a strong position with regards to the prospect's future, extending his contract through to 2027 as recently as September.

Nevertheless, it appears possible that the two European giants may look to test Villa's resolve and tempt the starlet into a switch to the continent.

Both clubs are said to have taken note of Iroegbunam's performances for England during the recent Under-19 European Championship, which was won by the Young Lions.

The report suggests that they have each further assessed Iroegbunam during his time with QPR, encouraging them to consider a future bid.

Dortmund, who have a history of signing young English talent, are said to hold the greater interest as they consider signing another player of the same profile.

Jude Bellingham, formerly of Villa's rivals Birmingham City, is expected to depart the Westfalenstadion in the summer having starred during his two-and-a-half-year stint in the Bundesliga. body check tags ::
