Juventus have announced the signing of defender Martin Cacares from Sevilla on a permanent basis.
Cacares, who also spent the 2009-10 season on loan at the Italian club, returned to Juventus for the second half of last season. The Serie A champions have now decided to take up the option to sign him from the Spanish outfit for £6.5m.
The former Barcelona defender made a total of 11 league appearances for the Bianconeri this season. He also scored both goals in a 2-1 win over rivals AC Milan in the Coppa Italia.
The 25-year-old signed a four-year deal, keeping him at the club until 2016.
