Juventus director-general Beppe Marotta has ruled out making any "major signings" during the January transfer window.
The Italian champions are said to be interested in recruiting a striker this month and have made enquiries about Shanghai Shenhua's Didier Drogba and Lyon striker Lisandro Lopez.
"The transfer window will close without any major signings," he told Sky Sport Italia. "The January market is not offering important names for Juventus.
"We are looking around, evaluating, but in the meantime we want to recover those players who are absent with injury or participating at the Africa Cup of Nations."
Juventus are currently three points clear at the top of the Serie A table.
