Kazakhstan and Latvia have played out a goalless first half in this evening's Euro 2016 qualifier in Almaty.
Anatoli Bogdanov curled an early chance for the home side over the crossbar, while teammate Tanat Nusrbayev saw his effort whistle off target soon after.
The Kazakhs continued to put pressure on their opponents for the remainder of the opening 45 minutes as goalkeeper Aleksandrs Kolinko was forced into two saves to keep the scores level.
Kolinko did not look so assured on 28 minutes when he fumbled Bogdanov's effort, but the shot-stopper was able to recover.
Kazakhstan showed plenty of attacking intent during the final stages of the half, but Latvia survived to go in level at the break.
