Allan Johnston: 'We should have beaten St Johnstone'

Kilmarnock manger Allan Johnston believes that his side should have taken maximum points from their league clash with Kilmarnock.

Kilmarnock manger Allan Johnston was adamant that his side should have beaten St Johnstone following a 0-0 draw at Rugby Park.

The Killie boss insisted that his players showed improvement from last weekend's defeat to Aberdeen, and created enough chances to win the game.

"I thought we created enough chances to win the game. We restricted them to very few chances, which was good," Sky Sports News quotes him as saying.

"We were a lot more compact this week compared to last week, so there was a big improvement."

Johnston also said that he felt his side were wrongfully denied a penalty during the match when a William Gros strike appeared to hit the hand of Frazer Wright.
