Leeds United have announced that youngster Jamie Shackleton has penned a new three-year contract.
The Yorkshire giants have been active in the transfer market since the arrival of new head coach Marcelo Bielsa, but that has not prevented opportunities being given to players from the academy setup.
Shackleton made a number of appearances during the club's pre-season campaign, and that resulted a first-team debut during Saturday's 4-1 victory over Derby County.
The club have now given the 18-year-old a chance to commit his future to Leeds, with the new deal due to last until the end of the 2020-21 campaign.
Shackleton could potentially make another outing for Leeds when they host Bolton Wanderers in the EFL Cup on Tuesday evening.
