Leeds United are reportedly ready to revive their interest in defender Stephan Ambrosius during the January transfer window.
The 21-year-old is believed to have been a target for the Whites over the summer, but Hamburger SV managed to keep hold of the centre-back past the deadline.
Ambrosius's current deal with his German club is due to expire next June, though, meaning that he would be free to sign a pre-contract with a foreign club at the start of 2021.
According to Ghana Soccer Net, Leeds are planning to move for the former St Pauli youngster when the winter transfer window opens for business.
The Whites could allegedly attempt to agree a small fee with Hamburg to ensure that the deal goes through in January, although a move to Elland Road on a free transfer next summer is also a possibility.
Ambrosius has already featured on two occasions in the 2.Bundesliga this season.
