Shrewsbury Town chief executive Matt Williams has confirmed that Leeds United have shown an interest in signing defender Connor Goldson.
The 22-year-old won Salop's Player of the Year award last season following an impressive campaign at Greenhous Meadow.
Williams has insisted that Championship outfit Leeds have not made a firm bid for the centre-back.
"I had a conversation with my counterpart at Leeds where we were looking at valuations, but that's as far as it's gone," he told the Shropshire Star.
"They have not put a bid in writing. They know what we would be looking for but they haven't followed it up. The player is training as normal and, until we get an offer that we'd accept, he remains a contracted player.
"Adam [Pearson] is someone I know from dealing with him when he was at Hull and Derby, but that's as far as it's gone."
Goldson made 51 appearances in all competitions for Shrewsbury last season.
