Former Newcastle United midfielder Vurnon Anita is reportedly attracting interest from Leeds United.
Last season, Anita made 27 appearances in the Championship as Newcastle won promotion back to the Premier League, but he left St James' Park at the end of his contract last month.
The 28-year-old is unlikely to be short of offers this summer and according to The Sun, Leeds have made their move to try to sign the Dutchman.
New head coach Thomas Christiansen is currently in the process of reshaping his squad at Elland Road, and the acquisition of Anita would add plenty of experience in English football to complement signings which are being made from abroad.
Anita spent a total of six seasons in the North-East, with three goals being scored in 156 appearances in all competitions.
