Defender Diego Polenta has reportedly emerged as a summer transfer target for Leeds United.
The Yorkshire giants are yet to make a permanent first-team signing since the arrival of Marcelo Bielsa, and Brentford winger Florian Jozefzoon has just rejected a move to Elland Road in favour of linking up with Derby County.
However, according to Ovacion, Bielsa's wait to sign a player on a full-time basis could end with the addition of former Nacional defender Polenta.
The 26-year-old has just left Nacional after two years with the South American club, and the former Uruguay Under-21 international is said to have offers on the table from teams in Mexico and Saudi Arabia.
Leeds could bide their time, with Polenta able to sign outside of the transfer window, but Bielsa is likely to want the bulk of his squad available for the Championship opener with Stoke City on August 5.
