Leeds United have reportedly made progress in their pursuit of Club Brugge winger Noa Lang, who is believed to be keen on a move to Elland Road.
The 22-year-old enjoyed his best-ever goal contribution season last year, as he scored 17 goals and produced 11 assists in 38 appearances across all competitions while on loan with the Belgian outfit.
Leeds have been working on a deal for Lang and held initial discussions over a move early in this transfer window, but the Whites have had to fend off competition from other clubs across Europe.
Football Insider reports that Marcelo Bielsa's side have received an encouraging boost in their pursuit of the Netherlands Under-21 international as he is interested in a move to the Premier League.
In Club Brugge's deal with Ajax to take Lang on loan last summer, there was an option to make his move permanent this July for £6m, which has now been agreed by the two clubs.
However, Brugge are open to selling on their new winger quickly and for a significant profit, therefore Leeds will have to better the £6m the Belgian club have just paid for him.
After coming through Ajax's academy system, Lang only went on to make 14 appearances for the senior side before his loan switch to Belgium. body check tags ::
