Newcastle United are interested in signing Leeds United midfielder Kalvin Phillips, according to a report.
The England international has had an injury-plagued season so far, having only made 12 appearances within the Premier League throughout this campaign, but he still remains a sought-after footballer.
The 26-year-old thrived last year, which saw him become a pivotal part of Gareth Southgate's plans during Euro 2020, which stepped up intrigue in him further.
According to the Daily Mail, Newcastle are interested in signing Phillips, and it is believed that the midfielder will exit Elland Road after this season, with plenty of interest in him.
Leeds United turned down bids from West Ham United during the January transfer window, but it is also believed that Aston Villa are keeping tabs on the Englishman.
Both Liverpool and Manchester United are also admirers of Phillips, but they currently have other transfer targets as well.
