Leeds United striker Billy Sharp looks set to return to former club Sheffield United, according to reports.
Sharp's days at Elland Road look numbered following the recent arrivals of forwards Chris Wood and Lee Erwin, and the 29-year-old was left out of the Whites' squad to face Eintracht Frankfurt in a pre-season friendly yesterday.
According to The Yorkshire Evening Post, discussions between the two clubs are at an advanced stage, with the Blades willing to buy the striker out of the final year of his contract.
Sharp spent three years at Bramall Lane, between 2007 and 2010, scoring 13 goals for the club.
He joined Leeds from Southampton last summer for a fee of around £600,000, but was in and out of the side all season, scoring a total of five goals.
