Sunderland have agreed a deal for winger Will Buckley to join Leeds United on loan until January 2.
The 25-year-old is scheduled to join the Yorkshire club on a 93-day emergency deal and is expected to join his new teammates for training this week.
A statement on the Sunderland website confirmed that the deal will be put on hold until Leeds' home league game against Birmingham City on October 3.
Buckley began his career at Rochdale in 2008 before moving on to Watford, Brighton & Hove Albion and then Sunderland.
