Leeds United are reportedly prepared to step up their pursuit of Rangers winger Rabbi Matondo.
The Championship club are on the lookout for attacking reinforcements, having recently sold Crysencio Summerville and Georgino Rutter to West Ham United and Brighton & Hove Albion respectively.
According to Football Insider, Leeds are preparing to make a formal move for Matondo after identifying the Rangers man as a potential transfer target.
Leeds boss Daniel Farke previously tried to sign Matondo during his time as Norwich City manager, and he remains a huge admirer of the 23-year-old attacker.
Rangers are believed to be open to selling Matondo as they look to raise funds to improve their squad after missing out on Champions League qualification.
The Welshman, who is under contract until June 2026, has scored six goals and provided 10 assists in 63 appearances since joining from Schalke 04 in July 2022.
Hull set to sign Bedia
Meanwhile, Hull City have reportedly reached an agreement with German side Union Berlin to sign Chris Bedia on a loan deal.
Bedia scored 31 goals in 68 appearances during a two-year spell with Servette, before he completed a move to Union in the January transfer window.
Unfortunately for Bedia, he was restricted to just seven Bundesliga appearances in the second half of last season and is seemingly destined to leave the German capital to gain regular playing time.
According to Football Insider, Hull have agreed a deal with Union to sign the 28-year-old on a season-long loan deal.
The report claims that Bedia has flown into England to hold talks and undergo a medical before he can be unveiled as Hull's latest addition of the summer transfer window.
Bedia would add to Tim Walter's current forward options which include Oscar Estupinan and recent signing Mason Burstow.
Pompey land Dortmund midfielder
Sticking with the Championship, newly-promoted Portsmouth have announced the signing of Abdoulaye Kamara from Borussia Dortmund.
Kamara began his career in the Paris Saint-Germain academy before completing a move to Dortmund in the summer of 2021.
After spending the majority of his time with Dortmund's reserve side, Kamara has now left the German club in the hope of securing regular game time in the Championship.
Portsmouth have confirmed that they have signed the 19-year-old on a four-year deal, keeping him at Fratton Park until June 2028.
Pompey boss John Mousinho told the club's official website: "He's an extremely promising young player who arrives with plenty of pedigree, having been at Dortmund and PSG before that.
"We think he's ready for Championship football and can really kick-start his career with us, so we're delighted to have him here.
"He's a powerful and combative midfielder who can handle the ball well – he's right up there in terms of his athleticism and game understanding. It's a brave step for Abdoulaye to come over and look to prove himself in England and I'm excited to start working with him."
Pompey have also announced the arrival of goalkeeper Nicolas Schmid, who has completed a move from Austrian side BW Linz. body check tags ::
