Aston Villa have reportedly identified Coventry City youngster Sam McCallum as a potential future signing.
The 19-year-old has already established himself in the first team at the Sky Blues, making a total of 16 appearances in all competitions.
However, the quick progression of the left-back has naturally led to interest from elsewhere, with Leeds United having previously been linked with the prospect.
According to Football Insider, Villa are also contemplating a move for McCallum in one of the upcoming transfer windows.
The report claims that Villa plan to regularly assess the development of the defender while he is making appearances in League One.
McCallum still has just under three years left on his contract, having penned a new deal earlier in 2019.
