Leeds United boss Neil Warnock has revealed that he is hopeful of making a signing before the club's Championship clash with Barnsley at the weekend.
The former Queens Park Rangers manager failed to comment on which players were on his radar, but he has claimed that he hopes to have at least one signing tied up by Saturday.
"It's a difficult month for managers because you're fending off enquiries all the time, but we are working very, very hard behind the scenes," he told Sky Sports News.
"We're trying to bring players in who are better than what we have. We are making enquiries and getting our agenda ready for the next few weeks. We've put forward some offers and it'd be nice to think we could get one in by the weekend."
Leeds currently sit eighth in the Championship table.
