Leicester City boss Nigel Pearson states that he is looking for his team to become more consistent in the Premier League following their FA Cup fifth-round exit.

Leicester City manager Nigel Pearson has stated that he is looking for his side to become more consistent in the Premier League following their exit from the FA Cup.

The Foxes went down 2-1 at Aston Villa on Sunday in the fifth round of the competition, after failing to make the most of their opportunities at Villa Park.

Pearson admits that he is frustrated with the inconsistent performances that some of his players are delivering.

"The reason we are having a frustrating season is because we don't reproduce performances," he told BBC Sport.

"All but one player was in the side who started against Arsenal [on Tuesday], which was a good performance, and [against Villa] we did not do well enough for long periods.

"We have to make sure our performances are more consistent. That is what is more annoying. Players, when they are in the side, have to make sure they produce performances that make it difficult to make changes."

Leicester are five points from safety at the bottom of the Premier League.
