Leicester City boss Claudio Ranieri has claimed that his side performed well against Bournemouth, despite falling to a 1-0 defeat at the Vitality Stadium.
Marc Pugh's first-half strike proved to be the difference as the Cherries claimed the spoils and left the Foxes just four points above the relegation zone.
Ranieri told BBC Sport: "The result is too severe against us because we created more chances than Bournemouth. I wanted a little more. A little more and we can score goals, recover more second balls.
"The second half was much better. They scored when we deserved to score a goal. The team is alive and that is important for me. If we continue to fight at this level, sooner or later we will get a good result."
Up next for Leicester is a league clash at Stoke City on Saturday.
