The Football Association has charged Leicester City midfielder Danny Drinkwater with violent conduct after an incident in his side's game with Watford last weekend.
During the Foxes' 2-1 defeat to the Hornets at Vicarage Road, Drinkwater appeared to elbow Valon Behrami as they tussled for the ball but the alleged offence was not seen by the officials.
However, after the footage was reviewed, the FA has announced that the England international faces a charge for his part in the incident.
Drinkwater must now decide whether to appeal the punishment but if the charge stands, he faces a three-match ban which would see him miss games against Middlesbrough, Sunderland and Manchester City.
The 26-year-old has featured in each of Leicester's 19 fixtures in all competitions this season.
