Leicester City will remain a strong unit even if key players leave the King Power Stadium this summer, insists Foxes captain Andy King.

Leicester City captain Andy King has insisted that the Foxes will remain a strong unit even if key players leave this summer.

Both Riyad Mahrez and N'Golo Kante have been linked with moves away from the King Power Stadium in recent days, while Jamie Vardy is reportedly on the verge of signing a long-term deal at Arsenal.

King is hopeful that his club can keep hold of England international Vardy, but has said that there will be no hard feelings if the 29-year-old does decide to seek pastures new.

"I wasn't surprised when I heard about Vards because all of our players have had brilliant seasons and are going to be linked with big clubs," King told reporters. "Nothing has happened yet and it will probably be a long transfer window. But I don't think it will affect the squad.

"It is 25 players in a squad and, if one or two decide they want to go and play their football elsewhere, we wish them all the best. We want to keep our best players and hopefully add to that."

King is currently on international duty with Wales ahead of Euro 2016.
