Leicester City captain Wes Morgan has insisted that teammate Riyad Mahrez is still giving his all for the club, despite asking for a transfer.
The Algeria international wants out of the King Power Stadium this summer, citing a desire to gain a "new experience" elsewhere in the next stage of his career.
Leicester boss Craig Shakespeare revealed at the weekend that a bid from Roma for the winger has already been turned down, while Arsenal also showed an interest earlier in the window.
Morgan believes that Mahrez will remain fully committed to the Foxes while he is still contracted to the club, though, regardless of the uncertainty over his future.
"Everyone knows about Riyad Mahrez. We've seen what a difference he can make," he told the Leicester Mercury. "He's got the key to unlock defences.
"I think you can see on the pitch that he's not slacking. He's putting in a shift for the boys. He's a Leicester player and that's all I can say."
Mahrez is supposedly willing to take a big pay cut to force through his Leicester exit, though he prefers a move to Arsenal over Serie A side Roma.
