Nigel Pearson claims that a draw was the least Leicester deserved after coming from behind against Middlesbrough.

Leicester City boss Nigel Pearson has said that a point was the least his side deserved following their 2-2 draw with Middlesbrough last night.

Goals on either side of half time handed the visitors a late lead after Foxes forward David Nugent fired the home side ahead in the opening stages. However, Jermaine Beckford found the back of the net with less than five minutes remaining to earn his side a point.

"It would have been a travesty for us to have lost that game," he said. "We were on the front foot for most of the second half.

"Scoring first was good for us, but the goal we conceded in the first half was disappointing. You have to give some credit to Middlesbrough because their team shape and the way that they played caused us some problems in the first half.

"But their second goal came while we were in the ascendency, so credit to the players for keeping at it and the goal from Jermaine was the very least we deserved."

Pearson's side are in 13th place in the Championship following the result.
