Leicester City manager Nigel Pearson has insisted that he is not dwelling on speculation linking Harry Redknapp with his job.
Reports had claimed that Leicester's owners are considering ending Pearson's stint in charge at the King Power Stadium, despite the fact that the Foxes are fifth in the Championship table.
The same stories have claimed that Redknapp, who has been out of work since leaving Tottenham Hotspur in the summer, has been lined up to take over from Pearson.
However, the current coach is adamant that he remains fully focused on the job in hand.
"I don't let things like that worry me too much, but I don't know who is being mischievous in terms of these stories," he said. "My job is to get the team ready for another match and to prepare as well as we can.
"It's a bit of an irritant, but it's not going to alter how I prepare for the game."
Pearson took charge of Leicester for a second time in November 2011.
