Leicester City manager Nigel Pearson believes that his side did a good job of holding on for a win at Millwall, despite sustained second-half pressure.
David Nugent's 48th-minute strike appeared to put the Foxes in control before Richard Chaplow scored for the Lions as the hosts fought back. Despite a late third goal to seal the three points, Pearson admits that his team worked hard for the result.
He told lcfc.co.uk: "Good to show we can win a difficult, physical game. Millwall's approach made it tough second half. We saw the game out well.
"We needed to freshen it up today and I was pleased with those that came in. Not done well here recently so nice to get a win."
Leicester now face a tricky away tie at Stoke in the FA Cup third round on Saturday.
