Leicester City manager Claudio Ranieri has backed Danny Drinkwater to bounce back from his mistake which gifted West Bromwich Albion a 2-1 victory over the Foxes this evening.
Drinkwater's underhit back-pass sent Matty Phillips clean through on goal for the Baggies, and he made no mistake with his finish as Leicester fell to their first home defeat since September 2015.
However, Ranieri insisted that there was no reason for the England international to apologise, describing the midfielder as one of the team's best players.
"Danny has said nothing. Every player can make a mistake, what can you say to him?" he told reporters.
"He is one of our best players. No problem, he overcomes that, of course."
The defeat leaves the champions 14th in the Premier League table, just two points clear of the relegation zone.
