Leicester City beat Hull City 2-1 after a two-minute turnaround in the first half.

Leicester City beat Hull City 2-1 at the King Power Stadium this afternoon, despite seeing Neil Danns sent off early in the second half.

The Tigers made the brighter start of the two sides and took an eighth-minute lead. Matty Fryatt was put through and knocked the ball past the advancing Kasper Schmeichel.

Leicester drew level on 18 minutes from their first real attack. Lloyd Dyer cut in from the right wing before drilling a low shot into the bottom corner of the net.

Just two minutes later, the home side were in front. Ben Marshall hit a shot from 25 yards, which took a wicked deflection to leave Vito Mannone with no chance as the ball flew in to make it 2-1.

The home side were left shell-shocked as they tried to regain the early control that they had.

Hull, again, looked bright in the early stages of the second half and threatened to draw level.

A flashpoint came in the 57th minute from a challenge between Leicester captain Neil Danns and Paul McKenna. Hull were furious with the way Danns went in and the midfielder was shown a straight red card by the referee.

The Tigers came close to an equaliser just after the hour mark when Robbie Brady's glancing header was cleared off the line by Lee Peltier.

Despite being a man down, Leicester were still looking dangerous and Mannone had to save from Danny Drinkwater before Sol Bamba hit the post with a low drive.

Leicester's ten men held on to secure the victory and earn all three points.
