Leicester City have reportedly joined the race to sign Celtic midfielder Ryan Christie, amid interest from Ligue 1 outfit Nice also.
The Scotland international's current contract in Glasgow is due to expire in January, which means that if Christie does not agree new terms with Celtic, this summer is the club's last chance to secure a transfer fee for the 26-year-old.
Christie was a key player for the Hoops during the 2020-21 campaign as he scored seven goals and provided 15 assists in 46 appearances for the club, and he earned himself a call-up to the national side for their first major tournament in 23 years.
The Daily Mail reports that Foxes manager Brendan Rodgers is keen for a reunion with Christie after working together during the Northern Irishman's three-year spell at Celtic.
Leicester are expected to face competition from Nice, who had an £8m bid for Christie turned down in January, but will return to the table this summer in their pursuit of the attacking midfielder.
Christie joined the Scottish giants in 2015 and has gone on to score 40 goals and provide 41 assists in 142 appearances for the club. body check tags ::
