Leicester City have confirmed the arrival of Nampalys Mendy from Nice on a four-year contract.
The Foxes are thought to have opened talks with the defensive midfielder last month, as they look to strengthen their squad ahead of next season's Premier League title defence.
A deal has now been agreed between the two clubs, with the 24-year-old becoming Leicester's third summer signing following the earlier captures of Ron-Robert Zieler and Luis Hernandez.
Speaking to City's official website, Mendy said: "I am very happy to come to Leicester City. The team have just enjoyed a great season and it's excellent to be here. For me I want to play at this level.
"I like the Premier League and I follow every match. It's fast and physical and I want to impose myself on the league. I know the coach, I know his mentality and I know his philosophy. When he speaks it's direct and clear and for me I like this."
Mendy, who helped Nice to a fourth-place finish in Ligue 1 last season, appeared 200 times for the Eaglets across three seasons upon joining from AS Monaco.
