Leicester City have made a late move to sign Southampton striker Graziano Pelle, according to a report.
It is widely believed that Claudio Ranieri is eager to bolster his attacking options at the King Power Stadium before Monday's deadline.
The Foxes have been linked with Sampdoria's Eder and CSKA Moscow frontman Ahmed Musa, but moves for both are thought to have stalled after initial bids were rejected.
As a result, The Sun claims that Ranieri has switched his attention to Southampton's Italy international.
The report adds that the Saints may be prepared to sell Pelle following the recent arrival of Charlie Austin from Queens Park Rangers.
It is thought that 31-year-old Pelle, who joined Ronald Koeman's men from Feyenoord in 2014, would cost £5m.
