Levante have appointed former Real Valladolid boss Rubi as their new manager until the end of the current season.
The Spanish outfit had been without a head coach since the weekend after sacking Lucas Alcaraz following the 4-0 home defeat to Real Sociedad.
The Valencia-based side have moved quickly to appoint Alcaraz's successor, however, with Rubi taking charge until the end of the season.
The 45-year-old, who has also managed Girona, has the option of a two-year extension based on how the team performs this season.
Levante are currently rock bottom of the La Liga table, having won just one of their nine league games this term.
