Levante have clinched a 2-0 win over Osasuna in La Liga this evening, despite playing much of the second half with just 10 men.
The home side made a quick start to the match, as Pape Diop drilled the ball in from 20 yards out inside the opening five minutes.
Oriol Riera came close to equalising just five minutes later, but his attempt to turn the ball in from an Alvaro Cejudo cross was well saved.
Levante continued to dominate proceedings and were able to double their advantage just before the break, as Ruben Garcia tapped the ball in from a Juanfran free kick.
David Barral and Andreas Ivanschitz both had chances early in the second half as Levante remained in control, but the home side were reduced to 10 men on the hour mark when Victor Casadesus was given a straight red card for a two-footed challenge on Cejudo.
Riera attempted to get the visitors back into the match from the resulting free kick, but Keylor Navas made a diving save to keep Levante two goals ahead.
Osasuna peppered the Levante goal for the remaining 25 minutes of they tried to capitalise on the numerical advantage, but the hosts defended well to frustrate their opponents.
The result moves Levante up to seventh in the table, while Osasuna sit 12th.
